PAUL MATTHIAS

An Oceanographer by profession, Paul's deep-rooted interest in
woodturning and the oceans descend from generations of shipwrights and woodworkers in his family tree. Woodturning since 2018, his abilities and interest in the craft have matured into a passion through the generous mentoring of other CCW club members. Exotic hardwoods, live-edge creations of all kinds, and bowls and platters (the bigger, the better) flow out of his workshop almost daily, along with the wood shavings.
