Monthly Meeting - October 7th  6:30 pm

Richard Wright will be demonstrating his techniques for turning his latest ornament.

This will be an in person and hybrid meeting

A recording of the demonstration, along with any accompanying materials, will be available online following the meeting.

Open Studios

There will be Friday morning Open Studios on September 4,11,18th. We want to ensure that everyone gets the lathe and/or material they would like to use, so please reserve your spot by emailing davearnonehome@gmail.com by the Wednesday prior to the date you want to attend.The studio provides lathes, some tooling and materials, depending on needs. The studio opens at 9:30AM and we generally close by 12:30PM. Space is limited so RESERVE your spot by emailing, texting or calling Dave (davearnonehome@gmail.com or 518 858-1108). Come and turn and network with your fellow turners. The studio is located at 260 Long Pond Drive.

Special Event - Club Picnic

  • The Cape Cod Woodturners Picnic will be held at the Grey’s Beach pavilion in Yarmouth Port on September 13, beginning at 12:30 PM. Members and their guests are welcome. Please email Clarke @ Clarke Buchanan clarke47@comcast.net to make your reservation.

Special Event - Wood Identification Workshop

with Vic Mastro

  • September 16 – Wood Identification Workshop with Vic Mastro – 9:00 AM – at 260 Long Pond Dr in S. Yarmouth – This workshop is designed to help us to identify many of our regional trees  by becoming better acquainted with their identifying physical characteristics. Participants will receive a copy of the guide Vic has developed and will have the opportunity to examine samples of leaves, bark, and wood grain and color to assist in identification. Coffee Hour

September 23 – Virtual Coffee Hour – 9:00 AM 


There will be an open discussion on turning pens, as well as a Show and Tell featuring turnings you would like to share. You can upload photos of your work at any time during the month to the following link but please upload by the Tuesday prior to the coffee hour.
